The American Rescue Plan (ARP), signed into law March 11th, includes $1 billion dollars in Pandemic Emergency Assistance (PEA) funds that can be used to help families with the lowest incomes address immediate hardship or cover additional expenses related to the pandemic.
Over $14.5 million of the funds are allocated to Missouri. To provide economic relief to these families as quickly as possible and minimize the administrative burden for both the state and families, Missouri can make a one-time cash payment to Temporary Assistance to Needy Families recipients.
