Child Well-being Community Forums

If you care about Missouri’s children and families — We need your voice!

We are hosting group discussion sessions with children’s advocates, service providers, grassroots organizers, and community members to understand your perspectives on issues related to the well-being and needs of children and families in southwest Missouri. You will not be required to share personal experiences. 

Who can participate?
Anyone 18 years of age or older, living in southwest Missouri, interested in discussing how Missouri can be transformed into an ideal state within which all children and youth thrive.

 

Two sessions will be held Thursday, August 29:

Session 1: Service Providers, Children’s Advocates and Grassroots Organizers

Refreshments will be provided. 

 

Session 2: Parents/Caretakers of Children

 For parents/caretakers who are currently or have previously been served by Missouri public programs
such as home visitation services (like Parents as Teachers), child care assistance, Medicaid (MO HealthNet) for children and families, Temporary Cash Assistance, child welfare, or other programs.

To thank you for your time, light dinner and $20 will be provided to registered participants.

Your input will help inform statewide advocacy efforts to create real change focused on improving public services for children and families. This work is performed by Missouri Budget Project in partnership with Deaconess Foundation.
